Olivia (she/her) is a warm and engaging provisional psychologist who is passionate about helping clients improve their quality of life and overall wellbeing. She enjoys helping those experiencing social fears and students.

Olivia works with adults, early career individuals + university students.

 Olivia enjoys helping university students and early career individuals navigate their world. She helps them to feel understood and to improve their resilience in their chosen areas.

  • Olivia has a keen interest in supporting individuals with social anxiety and the significant burden it has on daily functioning.

    She is co-author of Social Set, our social anxiety course that takes a structured, skills-based approach to reducing social anxiety and increasing comfort in social settings.

    Olivia is particularly skilled at supporting students with social anxiety and its impact at university/school and beyond.

  • Olivia appreciates that public speaking is an uncomfortable yet unavoidable aspect of student and work life. Her goal in helping people to face their public speaking fears is so that they do not feel held back in their goals professionally and personally.

    Olivia delivers our public speaking program, Speaking Volumes.

  • Perfectionism can get in the way of living a life that you want - it stops you from starting things out of fear, from accomplish things because they may not be good enough.

    It can also lead to burnout as you sprint and crash towards deadlines.

    Olivia can work with you to address problematic perfectionism; she has also authored an article on perfectionism and procrastination.

  • When it comes to phobias, Olivia recognises the profound impact it can have on life - from daily routines such as going to shopping centres, through to more significant events such as flying.

    Olivia brings a supportive approach to helping individuals gradually face their fears using exposure therapy.

  • Olivia has a special interest in supporting university students in navigating the unique challenges they face, including:

    • Adjusting to a less-structured learning environment

    • Helping to build skills to better manage time, studies, and other responsibilities

    • Navigating relationships and feelings of isolation.

    • Working with the uncertainty that this life stage brings.

  • Sleep can have such a wide-ranging impact on life. Olivia understands the importance of sleep on wellbeing and daily functioning, and can help with:

    • Insomnia

    • Anxious thoughts that interfere with good sleep

    • Those struggling with bedtime and morning routines

    • General low energy due to poor sleep.

  • Low self-esteem can make life a struggle:

    • Self-doubt can lead to rumination at night and insomnia

    • Lack of confidence means you hold yourself back from doing things you feel are important

    • Difficulties with being assertive and setting boundaries, leading to feeling taken advantage of

    • People-pleasing leading to burnout

    Olivia helps to build a more positive self-image to help individuals thrive in life.

Olivia received her Bachelor of Arts with first class Honours in 2020, and is currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Western Australia. Olivia researches how to help parents adjust to their child’s chronic health condition.

Fun fact: Olivia has worked at The Skill Collective for 5 years, starting off as our administrative assistant whilst completing her undergraduate psychology degree before moving into her postgraduate studies. We are thrilled that she has chosen to commence her clinical career with us.
