Welcome to The Skill Collective. We’ve partnered with Counsel Connect to offer confidential, personalised counselling and wellbeing support. Employees of Counsel Connect can access up to 5 confidential counselling sessions per calendar year, at no cost. Sessions are offered via phone, telehealth, or face-to-face in Subiaco, and are provided by psychologists.
This page contains information on accessing support, including booking appointments, wellbeing resources, and important crisis support contacts for situations requiring immediate assistance. In addition to counselling services, we also provide a range of workplace wellbeing and mental health training programs designed to support healthy, productive workplaces.

If you’re new to using an EAP service, or simply wondering what to expect when seeing a psychologist, we’ve answered some common questions below.
-
1. Book directly with us using the Book a Session form or phone us on 08 6382 0355. You don’t have to go through your manager or HR.
2. We’ll confirm your eligibility and help you arrange a session.
3. Choose how you’d like to meet — by phone, telehealth or face-to-face in Subiaco.
4. Complete a short intake form, which outlines important information including our consent, confidentiality, and cancellation policies.
5. Your sessions are confidential and there is no cost to you.
-
1. Your privacy matters to us. Your organisation will not be told that you have accessed EAP. They do receive de-identified, aggregated information about overall EAP usage, however they do not receive information about individual employees.
2. What you discuss with your psychologist is private. Your employer does not receive details about what you discuss in your counselling sessions.
3. Your psychologist is bound by professional confidentiality requirements. Information would only be disclosed in circumstances where there is a serious risk of harm, or where disclosure is required by law.

EAP is here for you when something is affecting your wellbeing or making life feel a little harder than usual. This might include:
Stress, anxiety, or overwhelm
Burnout
Sleep issues
Work pressure
Grief and loss
Major life changes
Low mood, loss of motivation
Confidence and self-esteem
Communication
You don’t need to wait until a crisis hits - EAP is designed to get support early, talk things through, and find practical ways forward.
-
Your psychologist will provide a safe, supportive and judgement-free space to talk about whatever is going on for you.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before your appointment, or even know where to start. Your psychologist can help you make sense of what’s happening and work with you to find what might help.
Together, you might explore what’s going on, identify what you’d like to change, develop practical strategies, or simply have some space to talk things through.
And if you feel you’d benefit from further support following your EAP sessions, your psychologist can help you explore suitable next steps.
